There is tremendous power in having a vision, a blueprint for your life. It gives you a sense of direction and instruction for the future that you want to have. However, what we must learn is that it is okay to have a vision, but we must also include God in that vision. For years, I chased education as a means of providing me with the financial stability that I wanted. I didn't feel that I had to consult anyone about my life or what I intended to do with it. I have even shared in a previous post just how much education I have. But, while it may seem as a sure shot to others, it proved as the longest way around life to me. I say this because, although I have achieved so much education, it never placed me in the financial abundance that I desired. In fact, in spite of so much education, I still struggled financially. Why? Because I went on my own road without consulting God first, and I paid the price for it.
After all, it is a known truth that God has a plan, a vision for all of His children. He created us all, and has numbered every single hair on our head. "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows". (Luke 12:7) So, if He adores us so much that He has counted every single hair on our heads, then why wouldn't He have ordained the perfect plan for us, the perfect vision?her father. And I simply chose this man for myself, without first consulting with God on the issue. In addition to this, 5 years later I allowed myself to be deceived again, and I got married. I chased after what I wanted again, and it crashed and burned, agained! So, again, I was a single mother 2 years later. It was during this time, as I had been dragged so low, that I realized that I had placed myself in these positions. I had chosen to set my own path without first talking to God about it. I had my own vision set, and I followed it.
But, how often do we fall down because of the vision we had set for ourselves? If only we would first talk to God about our plans, before we started acting on them. Yes, I took the long road in life in many areas, but they have all made me stronger and wiser. However, if I could have avoided so many trials and tribulations, I sure would have done so. But, it was in my absolute brokenness, that I found myself tired of being broken. So, I sought healing from the ultimate Healer. I sought true peace and absolute joy from Him who provides them both in abundance! Lastly, I traded my own vision for Gods' vision. And true to the One who orders our steps, He ordered mine in the direction that I should have been going the whole time.
After all, it is a known truth that God has a plan, a vision for all of His children. He created us all, and has numbered every single hair on our head. "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows". (Luke 12:7) So, if He adores us so much that He has counted every single hair on our heads, then why wouldn't He have ordained the perfect plan for us, the perfect vision? “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now. God’s Decree. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them. God, your God, says so. (Amos 9:13-15)"
He has called us to have a vision anyway. So, why not choose His? Why not speak to Him, regarding your own vision? He is waiting to hear from you! Don't put that conversation off any longer! Your future awaits! And once you make the decision to choose God's vision for your life, there will be so much freedom that comes with it. You will be armed to fight or battle whatever gets in your way, because you know that You are following Him, and that He is fighting for you, and for your future! "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry". (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
