"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God (2 Corinthians 1:3-8)." Although there are a multitude of things that I could say about this subject, there is just one I will say, for the sake of avoiding an extremely long blog post. This one thing is simply this: "Even though there are many periods in/of life where hurts, and perhaps, gets harder, (and there has been no exception in my case), in each of these periods, God is with you every step of the way (and there has been no exception in my case)!
For every heartache or any experience in suffering for me, also came a season of learning, growing, and trusting God. I have always learned a lesson and received a blessing for every period of pain. I could literally go on all day if I continued to speak on the provision, protection, goodness, faithfulness, and blessings of God. Because of this, my seasons of wilderness became my seasons of worship! I pulled through and pressed through the seasons of pain and pressures, with continued praise because He never failed me!
During the times when life hurt the most, strangely, once I took my mind and emotions off of the suffering, I was able to feel and experience the peace and comfort of God, during the suffering. I have honestly felt Him more in this life, while I was in pain and under pressure, instead the times when I felt absolute pleasure. I had to first take my mind off of the pain though! I had to make the decision to not become distracted by the present/current disappointment, discouragement, or defeat. Instead, I had to place my mind, my thoughts, my will, and my problems in the hand of God. Once I did this, I experienced what God had originally intended for me to experience out of the suffering.
I became better and brand-new in my walk with Christ! He was able to pull out of me just what He had intended to, so that I could become stronger and more mature in Him. Yes, there will be times where life will hurt. However, if/when life hurts-during these hard times-I encourage anybody, to do just what God had originally intended for you to do, during these times! Look to Him! Trust in Him! Take your mind and your thoughts off of the problems at hand, and become all that He has called you to become, during the hurtful experience(s). "Dear friends, do not be
surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.""But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed (1 Peter 4:12-13)."
