I have come to learn that the peace of God truly like no other. One verse in the Bible I love to read is "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus". (Philippians 4:7) Every time that I have read this verse, it still brings me so much peace and comfort. And I have read it a
lot of times! It's strange how people say that once they have done something a few or more times, it gets old to them. I have to say I feel that way about a lot of things too. However, when it comes to rereading scriptures in the Bible though, that never gets old to me. As a matter of fact, it refreshes me each time I read it. I think it does so because I have learned to lean and depend on the Lord, as well as, His word. It's so amazing that regardless of what we go through in life, there is always a Bible scripture for it. It's like He truly pre-ordained humanity's trials and tribulations-outlining them- before we were all even born. Isn't it amazing that the God we serve always has pre-ordained peace for us to partake in, as we go through this journey called life-filled with twists and turns. I have truly learned to surrender my efforts for anything that I may face in life, while partaking in His rest for me-my mind, my spirit, etc. It is inevitably apparent that once I partake in the peace of God, then all my troubles seem to get smaller, or seem to just vanish. It is not that they have actually vanished or gotten smaller. It is simply that I have chosen to take rest in the situation. I have chosen to be at peace with the situation. As a result, I am not bothered by what was once bothering me. Instead, I simply do as God called us to do with anything in this life-have faith, and be at peace, trusting that He will work the given situation out. I encourage anyone today to partake in the peace of God, no matter what is going on in your life. For He has already given it to us. We simply need to tap into it.
