"The Anointing will cost you everything. But it is worth the cost (Kathryn Kuhlman)." For many years and reasons, I wondered why the burdens I had to face in this life were necessary and so hard on and for me. It just appeared that everything that would seem to and did work out for others, never seen to work for me. I mean, why couldn't things simply just work out sometimes? Why did I have to fight for every little thing, and endure through so many other things?
I can remember having many conversations with God about my sufferings. I can certainly remember crying out to Him, wanting the hard times to end (and questioning why they had to begin in the first place), and also wondering why (even after I was trying to do everything right, and had done everything right) everything just kept falling apart? Even more so, I couldn't understand why God would allow such colossal and catastrophic events to occur in my life. Why did it have to hurt so much to be made over and used by God? I mean, was it all really worth it?
Then, I heard a pastor say in a service one time that, sometimes the bad experiences we face in this life, benefit the generations to come more so than they benefit us. It was like a truth that I had never heard before was released to me! Afterwards, I started hearing variations of the same statement being said by other pastors, ministers, evangelists, etc. So, I began to ponder this truth, fact, or notion. I then began to study the word of God more, to see if I could gain anymore relevation or insight into the overall meaning of this statement.
The fact of the matter is, everyone suffers at some point in this life. No one gets off completely. without any hardship or suffering. However, if/when there is a calling on your life, there will be many seasons of suffering, because there has to be a great deal of crushing, in order to be used by God. Through this crushing, oil is released. That oil then turns to the anointing on an individual's life to do what God has called them to do, and to be used as He sees fit to use them. Although the oil is greater in some than in others, if we choose to allow God to use us, the anointing that the crushing produces, is released over us. We become armed with power and authority in the name of Jesus! We use this power and authority to do the work of the Lord, and win souls (who still live a worldly lifestyle) for Him! The problem is though, sometimes the worldly lifestyle seems more appealing than the Godly one. I say this because, as long as we become comfortable in our flesh or continue to live and operate in our sinful nature, we are never able to be fully used by God. Therefore, all of our suffering and sorrows, and episodes of crushing become in vain. The work that God was/is doing in us is not fully or completely produced; thereby, keeping us in the pits of our own making, because of our continual indulgence in our worldly behavior(s). When this happens, we not only set ourselves back from the crushing (and the oil being released); but also, the work that He started in us becomes such a waste, and never comes to fruition or completion. This happens because we become weakened by our worries, or stagnated by our situations and circumstances.
But, one thing I have learned while on this journey is the powerful truth and lesson that God never wastes our pain! Although I have said it before in my blogs, it is still so relevant-honestly, in/with every blog I write. Pain in the process leads to progression in the process. That progression then, leads to the power of God, and how He uses it in your life, as a way to use you in this life!! So don't fight it, don't stall the process; instead let His work be done in you! Let the crushing happen, so that the oil of anointing can be released over you, and in you!
