Today, I had gotten down in my thoughts about some things that are going on in my life right now. I began to ponder negative and unfortunate scenarios in my mind regarding these concerns/situations. While I went to work as normal, performed professionally as I do daily, smiled, and displayed a positive outward appearance, deep inside I felt so down about these things.
This went on all day until the very end of my day, my supervisor from my part-time position asked me to call her after Ieft my full-time position, regarding questions she had. Before our conversation concluded, I still had these negative thoughts and emotions going on in my head. For some reason, she knew it. I would say that God got through to me through her! She only spoke a few sentences to me towards the end of our conversation. But, in those few sentences, she spoke something so powerful to me, and there was so much power in what she spoke! She reminded me that just because things have been bad or just when things are looking bad, it doesn't mean that I was not doing what I was supposed to be doing or positioned where I was supposed to be positioned at/in this specific/given time in life.
Furthermore, it doesn't mean that God has taken His hand off of me or has left me, when certain storms come or stay longer than expected or desired. Sometimes, the enemy simply attacks us because we are truly planted where we should be. These attacks simply serve as a distraction to get us off course, and into a world feeling discouraged, disappointed, and defeated. This is why it is so important that we guard our thoughts emotions, and minds daily. We must learn to guard our thoughts, emotions, and minds from negativity and pessimism, in order to stay in the place of peace. They are the enemy's breeding ground for chaos and confusion. When she spoke this word to me, something broke in me, and something broke off of me. As this awesome woman of God spoke life into me today, I speak life to anyone reading this blog entry and going through certain storms in their life right now. Let us all remain (continually) peaceful and prayerful in any negative situation/circumstance in our lives, as we continue to expect a move or breakthrough from God, trusting Him throughout the process. Let the hard times make us warriors for Christ, and worriers in Christ!! Help is on the way!!! Amen??!!!
