A few years ago, a dear friend of mine spoke about something so powerful for God's people. She asked a very simple question, during this conversation. After reading about many unfortunate and unnecessary circumstances and/or occurrences that are/were happening in the world at that time (very much like it is today), she asked, "Carmen, what is the church doing?" She said, "I just don't know what the church is doing."
She then explained that with so many sinful things coming forth, and with the sinful/fleshly nature of people becoming more prevalent and prominent than the coming forth of their spiritual being today, where is the church? How is it that the things of this world are becoming more popular than the things and word of God? I had to stop and think about these things because she made very true, valid statements describing what state the world was in during that time.
Well, now it appears that the world is in an even more detrimental state. So, I found myself remembering the very question she had asked me a few years ago, "where is the church?", and "what is the church doing?" I believe that it is more than accurate to say that a revival is certainly needed today. A renewed sense of hope and an unleashed faith needs to be released in the world today-as well ason/over all of those who still occupy it. We are slowly falling by the wayside more and more, slowly falling away to the negative things of/in this world.
I once heard Billy Graham say that if we look at the state that the world is in today, we may as well be looking in the daily newspaper. It is a clear snapshot of what is happening in the world. He also said that what is happening in the world today is a clear picture that the Book of Revelations depicts. I have to agree with that also. Revival is so needed today!! Revival for our hearts, our minds, our souls, and our spirits is needed today!! Where is the church? Wht is the church doing? Where is the Body of Christ? Let us all rise and become just that!! The church, and the Body of Christ! Time is short, life is short! So, why are we wasting anymore time being anything else or anything less than what and who God has called us all to be? Revival starts with you and with me! Revival can include anybody, and a large number of people!!! Let us use our God-given power and purpose to turn the world back to Christ! Let us not waste anymore time! Let us all allow our God-ordained purposes come forth! Revival, Revival, Reviva!!
