" Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." (John 14:27) "Peace of mind sharpens the five senses, calms down the mind and the emotions, and enables us to focus more easily on mental and physical activities." (Remez Sasson) "The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is the success, his influence, his power for good. Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom." (James Allen)
On my last blog, I explained how I recently endured a hurtful experience in my life.. I also spoke of the importance of living in peace during such trying times. While I am still on my journey to healing, and though it gets easier daily, I have also learned more and more that during this process, peace has been truly invaluable for the pain! This experience has taught me that peace really is priceless! And though I have made this statement many times before, I have to say that during this specific life experience, having peace has made it much easier for healing to take place. And in doing so, this has made me reflect on how the prospect of peace has gotten me through all of the other hard times that I have had to face in this life. I was also reminded of how peace has gotten me through the repercussions of my bad decision-making and poor choices. During this time, I have also been shown that having true peace makes the inward battles that we all face easier to battle and heal from.
Peace truly has been my anchor in wading through unfamiliar territory and unfamiliar waters. Peace has opened my eyes to the very work that God is using in my life to cultivate me for His work, through the trying times that come and go. I have been shown the absolute peace of the Father, during a time, when I felt so much pain! All of this insight, and these life lessons have truly shown me that some things in life are simply unavoidable. I mean, that some lessons in life, we simply have to learn! And these specific life lessons are simply too precious for us to miss! Every hard time that we may face (in this life), serves as an opportunity for us to develop into who we were/are meant to be. But take heart! He grants us all HIS peace to navigate through these such times, creating in us, the very person that we are all called to be, in order to fulfill our purposes in Him! So while we must endure these specific trials and circumstances, let us never loose sight of the peace that He has given us, in order to get through/passed them. Don't let unpredictable or unplanned pain keep us from the very promise of God for our lives! Instead, let us tap into the endless peace that He has provided us with, while we are being pruned for His plans! "Peace I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart: I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
