Many times our mind often wonders to the places where it shouldn't. We allow certain experiences or offenses to take root and dictate how we should think and feel for the rest of the day. For some of us, it becomes much longer than a day-turning into a week, a month, etc. But if we take the time to make the choice to forgive others and move on, we keep ourselves cleansed and purified from the stains of hurt from others. We also allow our minds to be shaped as God would have them to be. We allow our minds to be in thee! If we continue to train our thoughts to go on the track of where they should go, then we also train our minds to be in Him! And when we train our minds to be in Him, then we build our lives to be what He has called us all to be. When we let our minds be in Him, we also train our negative emotions and negative behaviors, making us become more like Him. Joyce Meyer said it best when she said, "All battles start in our minds".
This is another reason that it is important that we make the effort to let our minds be in Him. So many things would change for the better in our lives! So many things would turn in our favor if we let our minds be in Him! "Chains would be broken from off of us! Yokes would be destroyed from us! Deliverance would be experienced within us! Why? Because if we allowed our minds to truly be in Him, then the enemy could no longer make it his playground! It is so important that we all learned to master our own thoughts and our minds! We could enjoy so much more intimacy in Christ if we did. Strongholds would no longer be able to keep us (our minds) out of the will of God! And when we learn how to break strongholds of our minds down, God would be able to use us so much more! And if we let ourselves be used more by God, then we would also keep ourselves in the very will of God! Let this mind be in THEE! "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". (Philippians 2:5)
