"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch in me that bear fruit he prunes, so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me" (John 15:1-4). I wish I could tell you that I learned this truth right away, and never suffered as a result of direct rebellion and direct disobedience to His will for my life, and for the calling that He had ordained for me to do. But, I can't tell you that, because the truth is, I did go through many periods of hardships and wilderness experiences because of my actions. And although I took "the long way" to my originally intended route, I finally arrived to the place that God had for me! But I can say that after I had suffered a while, and endured the repercussions of my actions, as a result of my behaviors and choices made, I truly know now and understand the absolute importance of just being yielded to God! I would not have ever gotten to this place, if I didn't have to "swim in some deep waters" first, in order to get here. And, I could have saved myself so much pain and agony had I just been obedient and humbled to Him, in the very beginning! But now, I say and practice without hesitation, "Just Yield to Him!"
It's no secret that life will continue to throw us curb balls and hard situations, making us want to fix things on our own, and in our own time. But can I tell you, to still choose to be yielded to Him? It's really not worth it to do it any other way! It is so much easier just to simply yield to Him! In fact, it's so simple and easy to do, that He commands and expects us to do it! So why fight so many hard battles alone? Why choose to do things the hard way, by doing things your own way? Why not choose to yield to Him? We give the enemy so much power over us and in our lives by our negative actions, and by the negative decisions we make. Let's start today to make better, and right decisions in/for our lives! Let's start today to simply live yielded to Him!

If we hang in there and refuse to give up, sooner or later we will be more than the devil can handle. We can choose to steadfastly resist the temptation to give up when the going gets rough and keeps on getting rougher over a long period of time, because it is in those hard, trying times that the Lord is building in us the patience, endurance, and character that will eventually produce the habit of joyful "hope and the confident assurance" (Romans 5:2) (Joyce Meyer). For in us, He builds these, as well as, other fruitful evidence of the work He is doing in us, and in His spirit within us! But we have to just yield to Him!
