Just Give It To God....Really and Truly!!!!

Recently, I was blessed to be part of a women's conference. It was such a powerful, and spirit-filled event that taught me a key lesson. As I fed God's people (women and men), this conference fed me! I have always battled with truly letting things go, and letting God work them out for me. In fact, I can't count how many times I told myself that I would leave certain battles "at the alter"; but I tend to pick them up again. It has only been very recent that I have truly learned to let go and let God. It has only been recent that I truly take battles "to the alter", and leave them there. Well, this conference was a great part of that! I had invited so many women (women who I thought would benefit from a conference like this), and only a few of them came. I distinctly remember driving to the event, and receiving text message, after text message of women saying that they could not make it. Because of this, I became so discouraged and overwhelmed. But, I knew I had already committed to the event, so I had to follow through on my end.

On the way there, my heart became burdened and my spirit became grieved. So, I prayed before entering the church, as I didn't really know what to expect. And the peace of God overcame me, and overwhelmed me! He gave me the realization that all would be well, and that all the women who needed to be there, and hear what would be said, would be. With that, I was given a brand new reassurance of who God is and what He could do! I was armed with a brand new surge of confidence to stand and speak/teach God's word to the many women who needed to hear it! To say the least, the conference was still very full of women and men who needed to hear the word of God! Even though I did not know many of them,it really showed me that my words and that my calling, as well as that of the two other women of God-who I was bless to shared the stage with- was needed very much so, even if many were strangers!

We run ourselves crazy trying to give things to God, but yet still hold on to them too! We can't do both and still say that we trust God with everything, and in everything. So, why not just give it to God....really and truly? So, why not choose to make the decision to take God at His word, when He tells us to have faith in Him, to trust in Him, and in His word? His word will never return void

(Isaiah 55:11)! So, what do we really have to loose then? "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
