God's Covering Over My Life

I had always heard that once you truly surrender to call (giving Him all of you), His covering over your life would be tremendous. I grew up in church and thought that I knew everything there was to learn about church. I even used it as a shield for me not to develop a personal relationship with Christ. I just simply thought, "Well, I am always in church. I don't need to develop my relationship more in Christ, because there will always be pastors or teachers around so that I could just continue serving God through and with, them". However, I eventually learned that regardless of how much or how often you attend church, it is still absolutely IMPORTANT and ESSENTIAL that I develop a personal relationship with Christ, myself. I needed to know Him for me! Life taught me that! Experience taught me that life will throw continual blows my way, and eventually, if my mind is not filled with or stayed on the peace and joy that relationship with God gives, then the trials and tribulations of this world will put your mind in a total tailspin of worry, chaos, and possibly confusion. Once these emotions become part of your world, then the enemy has free reign to attack you! Once, I began to have my share of trials and tribulations, I saw the hand of the enemy at work in my life. But, once I pursued a true relationship with God, I also began to experience the peace and joy of God. In doing so, He granted me forgiveness, grace, and mercy. And He granted me the comfort of the Holy Spirit each and every day. Lastly, I began to see the covering that He was providing me, as well as, over the situations in my life.
