As a healthcare professional for 15 years, I quickly learned that my position in this field-to do it to the very best of my abilities-was to serve others. I have so many stories to tell of how to adequately care for patients in need. I very quickly learned that if I was to give my all in/to this profession, I had to get "passed myself" inconvenienced and all sometimes, in order to extend the best care possible for those in need-to the patients served. And the more I became surrendered to Christ and filled with humility, I quickly learned that it is the very same in His kingdom! I say this because on this faith walk, I have learned that God requires us to be fully submitted to Him and to His will, in order for His work to be completely done in us. He requires absolute service in our purpose and to completely serve those in need-to those who are hurting, broken, bitter, angry, etc. Let's face it! We all need God! But something happens when we truly make the commitment to leave the world behind, and fully trust and chase God! Something happens when we truly make the decision to chase discernment, and no longer desires! We go into service! And we begin to serve!
When I finally made this decision, everything in my life changed for the better! Everything in me changed for the better! Something happens when we choose to leave all of our wants, desires, and our very will at the alter, leaving them at the feet of Christ-choosing to pick up everything that He has planned and purposed for us instead! It does something to your spirit, and sets you on fire for the work that He has for you! It unlocks so many promises, blessings, and favor over your life, as well as those who are connected to you (both directly and indirectly)! When we let go of us stubborn nature, and choose to serve others instead of serving ourselves, we are choosing to serve! We become busy with a purpose, not just busy for the sake of being busy! We choose to become servants in the body of Christ! We choose to get busy serving! And we choose to be busy serving!
