Even When You Don't Understand!!!!

" I will be content in every circumstance! Jireh, you are enough!!!"(Elevation Worship & Maverick City) "Not that I speak in respect to want, for I have learned in whatsoever state I am in, therewith to be content". (Philippians 4:11) These last few weeks, I can truly say that I have learned and am learning the importance of "keeping my prayer posture". There have just been situations after situations that have thrown blow after blow at me. Yet, I still stand amazed at the goodness and faithfulness of God! I still have been able to worship while I have been wounded! I have learned even more so, the importance of staying focused on God, and trusting in Him, even when I don't understand! As I write this blog, I am reminded of what I once heard a pastor say for pastors, evangelists, ministers, intercessors, people of God etc. He said "oftentimes, when you are praying and/or interceding for someone else, you tend to move to the front-line for attacks". I agreed with him then, and I certainly agree with him now! But can I also tell you, that although I have been faced with negative circumstances day after day it seems, I have never been so full of God, so full of worship and praise in suffering! I have the desire more and more to continue doing His work, and following His will for my life. He has filled me with so much more joy and peace during this difficult season that I have found myself in. Even when I don't understand, I still have the desire to seek Him, and maintain intimacy with Him. Even when I don't understand, I still have a mindset to continue on in my purpose. And even when I don't understand, my love for God has grown more and more and I have leaned and depended more so on Him during this time in my life.

I am reminded of what Job said in Job 13:15 "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him!" In saying this scripture, I am reminded of just how much I have grown in the word of God. I am reminded of just how much my faith has matured in my walk with Him. We often mess up when we mentally, and physically turn our hard times into times to engage in negative thoughts and behaviors, instead of opportunities for spiritual growth. We put ourselves in an emotional prison or a pit when we choose to give hard times prevalence over anything else in our lives, causing us to be in a constant state of chaos and confusion. But let me tell you something, when we learn to still seek God even when we don't understand, we unlock the keys to the many blessings and promises that He has in store for us. If we would just learn to hold on in times of trouble and suffering, we would also learn the key to continual peace and joy. Let us see times of trouble as opportunities to grow closer in Him. Let us all learn to worship while we are wounded! Even when we don't understand, let us all make the decision to still stay focused on God!
