Better Yourself For His Work, Ready Yourself For His Work!!!

"Give yourself to those things that are larger than you! Give yourself to those things that are serving others! Give yourself to those things that are pleasing to God!" (Bishop R.C. Blakes, Jr.) Although I have always been taught that we are all here for a reason, I didn't fully grasp what this actually meant. It took my journey into adulthood, before I realized truly that every experience that I had endured, was currently enduring, and would endure, were all a part of my making, part of my journey. These experiences were all very instrumental in my becoming who God had called me to be. And once I decided to fully relinquish control in every area of my life, I left room for Him to take control of my life. Because of this, He able to continue mold me into who I needed to be-so that I was able to be better used by Him. I also learned that once I truly gave myself to my purpose and the vision outlined for my life, everything else within me improved and became greater. I had to learn that experiences in life, my very existence in this life, was simply a process in order for me to walk into the fullness of God's divine intention for me! I had to learn to better myself for His work! And in doing so, I also learned how to ready myself for His work.

The problem is that we waste so much time indulging in what we want to indulge in. We want to live our lives the way we want to live them, and not abide by the original blueprint that God has already ordained for us! But let me tell something! If I had just heeded the above-mentioned statement early on in my life, and just learned to live for Christ in the very beginning, I could have saved myself from so many distractions, disappointments, and discouragements! I could have avoided these because I would have already decided to live strictly for His will and for His work! And even though these things did help me in the long run to develop more in Christ, they also hurt me tremendously; because the fruition of my future was delayed. And because of this, I was constantly set back from reaching where God had originally intended for me to be. We have to learn stop wasting so much time, energy, and effort on living by our own ways and preferences; and instead, use the same time, energy, and efforts to live for Him! We must be willing to better ourselves for His work! And in the very same process, we will ready ourselves for His work!
