"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you" (Psalm 32:8). As we edge closer to the holiday season, and the new year, I often reflect on what God has done for me this year, and what He has in store for me next year. I often think about how I can serve Him more next year, and in what capacity. I think that around this time of the year, as we observe the coming holidays, it is also important to observe our present Christian walk, so that we can stay on track in it. There comes a time when we all have to make the decision to be excited about the hand of God in our lives. We all have to make the decision to be filled with joy, passion, and excitement from being used by God. "Excitement has to do with faith, with hope and with belief and a person with no hope cannot be excited". "Excitement belongs to the realm of hope, faith, and belief". "Excitement is not about being loud or jumping up and down" (The Worship Center Community Church). "A person can be quietly excited" (The Worship Center Community Church). Excitement is about loving God and loving life. It's not about living life to the fullest. It's about becoming all that God put you on the earth to become. "The Holy Spirit gives you the attitude of "I'll do whatever it takes"to be all that God created you to be and that's what gets you through the trials and helps you overcome those things that are trying to overcome you" (The Worship Center Community Church)!
Don't let your brokenness and burdens carry you into the new year, with negative thoughts about behaviors along with them! Allow God to shape and mold you into who He has ordained for you to become, and where He has ordained you to be! Somebody else needs you! Somebody else needs to hear your testimony needs your ministry! Be excited about what God has for you! He waits for you! "The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations" (Psalm 33:11).
