At this stage in life, I have learned that seasons really do change. Though it is already apparent that the known four seasons change yearly(Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter), it is not always apparent that certain other season(s) change too. By these seasons, I am referring to the season for certain people, things, and situations in life have to also change too.
I think we often get caught up when we try to hold on to these people, things, and situations too long. I feel that for myself, alot of the negative situations that I have found myself in have not only been because of my own bad decision making; but also, these situations occurred because of my poor judgement or timing on whether or not, and when to let certain people, things, and situations go- as well as my lack of judgment in knowing when to let people, things, and situations go.
But, the older I get, and the more intuned to God I have become, I am more often finding and learning when to let someone or something go. Because of this, I have also found myself being better able and equipped to navigate (with the help of God) out of potentially bad situations or generalized bad situations. In doing so, I have also been able to keep my peace in each matter. I think the a great example for/of this is the Holy Bible Scripture that says, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1)." I think that once we realize that not only the known changes must change, but also, certain seasons in/for life must change too, we become better equipped and able to be used by God, of God, and for God. There has to be a change in these seasons, in order for elevation to occur. But don't allow it to discourage you, or immobilize you.
Instead, use it as a stepping stone for more preparation of what has intended for you, and for what God has in store for you. So, let there be a change in seasons! Allow God to move you higher and farther in Him. For this elevation is so much greater than we can ever understand, know, or fathom. Holding on to these expired seasons only stunt your growth and preparation for where God is trying to take you next. If I have learned one key detail about this faith walk, about following God completely, I have learned this-nothing and noone is ever worth you missing what God has in store for you in this life, or simply more important than your missing God altogether in this life. So if/when necessary, let there be a change in seasons in your life, so that you are more prepared for the next season in your life-in God, and for God!!!
